World Recognized DSI HOLDING & ENKUR sign Memorandum of Understanding to provide the operational capacity for AMSSA and for the development of a long term plan to implement a Maritime Safety and Security International Centre of Excellence [MSS-ICE] on the Island of Gran Canaria.
It is foreseen that  the centre will bring together the world experts in all matters relating to the safe, secure and clean movement  of maritime transport systems within a unique public-private partnership framework.
The critical mass resulting from drawing experts together will enable a structure that will embrace military, civil, academic and maritime private industries. The site selection of Gran Canaria has been identified to provide the proposed MSS ICE the most International geo-strategic position from an International perspective. This is because the island lies strategically between four continents. The island is already a world renown International site for science and technology and will thus assist the creation of a robust test bed for all things relating to Maritime Safety and Security and marine environmental protection.
It is anticipated that students and operational maritime administration staff from African member states will be encouraged to use the MSS ICE to receive state of art training and will also be provided with the correct support systems into the longterm.
